Leaflet Distribution

Your design is important

Leaflet distribution is an integral part of your marketing and promotion campaign. This is because after many years of being in use leaflet still haven’t lost its ability to attract customers and generate sales or trial of your product. It is therefore still an effective tool for promotion. However some leaflet distributions don’t generate the desired results and fail badly. One of the main reasons is that many of the people who received the leaflets threw them away without even reading. This happens when your leaflets fail to attract your audience’s attention and the reason for the failure to grab attention is poor designing of your leaflets.

You have to be careful when designing your leaflets. Here are some important points to follow when you design your leaflets for the leaflet distribution

1.    Make It Clear and Concise:

When you are introducing your brand in the market you have to have a good convincing message but without getting lengthy and boring. Your leaflet distribution will be effective only if your literature on your leaflets can grab the attention of your customers. It is like the newspaper headlines. They use bold large letters and many times write some statement that looks controversial and interesting enough that people buy them immediately. Similarly you on your front page of your leaflet you need to have a convincing message or a picture to make people to further explore your leaflet.

2.    Pictures can take it up a notch:
Good and attractive pictures say a lot and do a lot for your leaflet distribution but don’t clutter up your leaflet with images because then your message can get lost in the pictures. Use one or two pictures especially on the front page. These pictures or images must be integrated to your product and should add up to your message. Also add maps of the location of your business to make it easy for the customers to find your facility.

3.    Size Does Matter:
Use leaflet sizes 1/3 A4 or A5 leaflets folded down from A3 and A4 sizes. These are easy to carry in pockets for future reference. The folded pamphlets also properly divide the leaflet into sections making more sense to the receivers and therefore making your leaflet distribution effective.

4.    Quality Check:
Bad quality paper leaflets never give a good impression. So when you are thinking of saving costs in your leaflet distribution please don’t compromise your paper quality.

5.    Check for Errors:
Give double rather triple check to the grammar and spellings of the literature on your leaflets. These are childish mistakes and thorough checking is important to maintain a good standard of your leaflet distribution.

6.    Printing Errors:
Design your leaflets with extra margins of about 3mm on each side so that your message is not cut away by the printers. Otherwise one small mistake can render your entire leaflet distribution non-effective.

7.    Incentives Really Work!
To generate sales or trial of your product add some discount offer or any incentive that will motivate the reader to buy your products. The incentives should be added to the front page, written loud and clear to grab the audience’s interest.
